Had the opportunity to teach my wife’s younger cousin the art of fly fishing over Memorial Day Weekend. He did really well listening to all the basics, practicing casting, learning to read the river, and being patient before getting out there and actually trying to catch some trout. He was able to catch a couple rainbow trout using the simplest of all fly patterns: the Adam’s parachute fly. After I gave him the basics, he couldn’t put the flyrod down. This is what I love the most, teaching and sharing my passion!
