We decided to head to Tampa, Florida for Spring break and meet up with some fishing buddies. It was our first time fishing in the bay so we decided to take out one of the craziest and best local guides first. The first day on the bay we had tough fishing conditions but still managed to catch a few nice fish including a prized Sea Trout, two Snook, a few Lady Fish and a couple nice Jacks. We ran into a massive school of rays being circled up by sharks. It was the best part of the day seeing massive shark annihilating the rays close to the boat. The Captain said, “this is when you really want to stay in the boat.”
The next day on the bay was great! We caught bait and set to work catching a ton of nice fish, including Spanish Mackerel, Blues, Sharks, Lady Fish, Jacks, Sea Catfish and more Sharks! We also found a ten foot cast net stuck to a piling and were able to free it.
We all really enjoyed the Tampa area and fishing in the Bay was a blast!
