Unpredictable water levels and clarity have sent me over to a more predicable river, the Tuckasegee! The daily release schedule helps regulate the Tuck’s water and make for really good morning smallmouth fishing. On a recent trip we were on the water by sun break catching smallies on the first cast. Topwater action was explosive right from the start with the most epic moment of the day being two bass caught on one lure in one cast! Hole in one! When the sun got up the fishing continued to be strong with fish munching soft plastic minnow baits. My clients ended up catching smallmouth bass, rock bass, and spotted bass. This is a great float trip for folks staying around Bryson City, Cherokee, Maggie Valley or Sylva, North Carolina.
