Tuckaseegee Trout Float Trips
The Tuckaseegee River in Sylva, NC opens a section of river annually called delayed harvest. At this time the river is completely catch and release and all species (brook, brown, and rainbow) are stocked in the river by the thousands. The delayed harvest season is Oct 1 though the first weekend in June. October and November are excellent months to be on the river with fall foliage and plentiful trout. This provides anglers with the opportunity to catch trophy trout on the fly rod or with spinning reel with a single hook lure. Our guided fishing raft float trip provides anglers with a stable platform to both catch and land trout. We offer both full and half day river float trips for beginners to experienced level fisherman. We will teach the art of fly casting if so desired.
